Financial Aid

Various types of financial aid can be applied to International Partnership programs to enable you to participate. Federal and state aid can be applied to our Service-Learning program. Financial aid such as Pell grants, Stafford loans, PLUS/SLS loans may be applied to program costs. Financial aid policies and procedures vary from institution to institution, so you should consult your financial aid office.

Work Study

Service-Learning qualifies for work-study funds. Congress has mandated that 5% of a college's work-study be used for community service, and strongly encourages it to be applied to study abroad programs. Check with your financial aid counselor for details.

AmeriCorps

Students in the South Dakota program may apply to become members of AmeriCorps, the national service corps. AmeriCorps educational vouchers are then awarded to U.S. students completing the required service hours for the program.
